Alec began his dance journey at the age of five at Kristy’s Dance Fusion. He instantly fell in love with tap and jazz, and eventually became a student in every dance style offered at the studio. Over the course of his almost fifteen years as a student, Alec completed all of his ADAPT exams up to the Intermediate 1 level, as well as several RAD ballet exams including Advanced Foundation, in which he earned a mark of distinction.

As a competitive dancer, Alec won the Candance “Mister” Title in 2013, 2017, and 2018 with his tap solos. He was very excited to be a part of the Team Canada Tap group in 2016, which competed on the world stage in Germany, and earned a silver medal. In 2021, Alec began the ADAPT Teacher Training program to become a certified dance exam teacher.

Outside of dance, Alec is pursuing degrees at the University of Saskatchewan in Business and Computer Science. He is eager to be able to share his love of dance with his students and is excited for this dance season!
